Waiting on the Bus

I was recently talking to a friend of mine about the ‘whys’ of life and he had a great analogy:  “Ive been waiting on the bus for so long…I guess I was supposed to walk.”

So true.  As human beings, it seems like we’re always waiting on something to happen.  We wait and we wait and we wait.  But what if the bus doesn’t stop?  What if there is no bus at all?

We get caught up in waiting and forget that we have two legs that can provide us with transportation.  We may not WANT to walk but life isn’t always about what we want.

So the next time you’re waiting on a phone call, a map or a bus, get out your dart board, close your eyes and throw a dart and start walking.  By picking a place on the horizon to point your face, you may discover that it was the journey that was important and meaningful and NOT the destination.

So instead of waiting, chart a course and get moving.  It’s that simple…put one foot in front of the other and WALK NOW.
